Grouping Dates

Hi there-

Can you tell me if digdb can group dates without using the Excel pivot functionality?

In example "A" below, I have several different dates in different orders.  There's also another value in the column titled "value" which is a measure of "cycle time to closure in # of days" in the column to the right.

I need to make sure that both columns group by week, month, quarter, etc and I need to be able to average those data points within those groups by average or median.  See example "B" below.

EXAMPLE "A"

You can use the DigDB->Column->Convert->Date/Time to->Month ... feature to convert the date into the x-th week of the year, this will give you a new column to your data which tells what week is the data for at each row.  Then you can use the DigDB->Roll up function to aggregate by the new "week" column.

The demo for this is here: http://www.digdb.com/excel_add_ins/roll_up_pivot_table_subtotal/#A7
