Groups inside groups?

Hi,

I started to customize Sakai for our university and we want to use the
group feature for mailing lists (handled by postfix with mysql-backend).
Now we need to have a group inside a group, for example:
Group 1: "Staff" has Members "Teacher", "Assistant1", "Assistant2"
Group 2: "studentgroup1" has Members "Staff", "Student1", ...
Group 3: "studentgroup2" has Members "Staff", "Student4", ...
....
As there should be many groups like that, if "Staff" changes, the
members of each group have to be changed. And this is too annoying to work.

Is it possible to change that in Sakai? If yes, where and how much time
do you think it will take?
Or do you think it is better (or even necessary) to start a new
"group"-tool for our needs?

Thx for you answer,
Fabian Kneissl
