Guile 2.x updates

Hello,

I took the freedom to update the Guile bindings in ‘master’ so that they
work correctly with the forthcoming Guile 2.x.

These are small changes so I think they can be pushed to the current
stable branch as well, if you deem it appropriate.

Let me know if there are any problems.

It looks fine to me (or rather, I don't spot anything that would break
anything non-guile, and I trust you on the Guile-specific portion), so
please backport it to the v2.8 branch.
