Gwenview does not display the "plugins" menuI am running Gwenview 1.4.2 on Asus Eee. It appeared to install OK, but
when I run it the Plugins menu is missing. However if I go to "Settings -> Configure Photo Manager" the Kipi plugins are there and mostly checked. When I start Gwenview in a terminal window it says: "QObject::connect: Cannot connect (null)::aboutToShow() to Gwenview::MainWindow::loadPlugins()" I think I recently saw a comment somewhere on the net about this being caused by some file being in the wrong location, but I have Googled it in vain today. Can someone help me with this please? Looks like you are using a crippled gwenviewui.rc which is missing the "Plugins" menu. Quit Gwenview, then remove ~/.kde/share/apps/gwenview/gwenviewui.rc if it exists. If it does not, download the original Gwenview archive from [1] and replace the system gwenviewui.rc file (probably found in /usr/share/apps/gwenview/gwenviewui.rc) with the one from the archive. Hope this helps Aurélien [1]: http://gwenview.sf.net ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges. I can't understand why Xandros cripple Gwenview like that :( Aurélien ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
