HOW TO: For those whose nodes don't support PXE booting

Hi,

This is a tip for those users who have systems they desire to be compute nodes for their PelicanHPC cluster, but just quite can't use them through PXE boot because their motherboard doesn't support booting over the network.

One of my computers I obtained recently was such a case, and didn't have the ability to boot over the network from the frontend node, so here was one node going to waste. Here is a solution:

1. Download Etherboot source: http://kernel.org/pub/software/utils/boot/gpxe/
2. Make an ISO by typing in the Terminal make bin/gpxe.iso
3. Burn the rendered ISO onto a CD
4. Make sure that the problematic PC is set to boot from *CD-ROM*
5. Boot this PC (assuming you have it connected to the cluster, cluster is waiting, etc) from the CD, and the computer should now load PelicanHPC from the frontend node, etc as if it booted over the network.

That's all I got, if you have any questions, reply or email me!
