Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end   time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter:        Katrina Fenton

Observers:        Arthur Stackhouse, Don Thompson

Visitors:
16.

Weather:
Today's temperature was in the low 50s. A light SW morning wind was
replaced by a gustly SE seabreeze. Clear skies gradually clouded over,
ending the day completely overcast, thanks to an approaching weather front.
The perfect visibility made it seem like the world was broadcasting in HD
after all the fog and haze.

Raptor Observations:
A good push of birds through the early afternoon. A sharp-shinned hawk,
spotted a second before the American kestrel it was traveling with, became
the 3000th migrant raptor of the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
Thirty-four species recorded today. Of them, the only non-raptor migrants
were 10 double-crested cormorants.

Predictions:
Tomorrow will be brisk with a 15-25mph NW wind gusting to 30mph or more.
Temperatures will be in the low 50s. Partly cloudy skies clearing to mostly
sunny. There should be a few birds willing to battle the headwind behind
tonight's rain.
