Is there any way to halve all note durations automatically? I want to
turn minims to crotchets, crotchets to quavers, etc.
The need for this arose in a piece in 3/4 at 150 beats per minute, with
a fast start in quavers. I then added a slow tune on top of the fast
bit. The slow tune is in crotchets and minims. In a number of places,
this slow tune has notes tied over bars, and this made me think that it
might have been better to have written the whole piece for a tempo of 75
beats per minute, and have the slow tune in quavers and crotchets, and
the fast bit in semiquavers. I am fairly sure most of my tied-over-bar
notes would then fall within the new bars. It would sound the same as
before, but would read better.
