Handset becomes 'Hair Trigger' when Possum Sero! is attached to Supplied Mounting Bracket
Dear All,
The Possum Sero! is supplied with what Possum describe as a mounting
bracket that attaches to the base of the telephone raising the telephone so
that the display is tilted to around 45° - enabling a user to see the display
when sitting.
Yesterday I set up a telephone with the mounting bracket for a client,
however I discovered that the telephone handset became like a ‘hair trigger’
on the hook switch. The handset was so perfectly balanced that almost any
vibration or movement of the telephone resulted in the display changing to
being either on-hook or off-hook.
Correct replacement of the handset did not guarantee that it was on-hook.
As a result, it was impossible to know what state the Sero! was in; either on-
hook or off-hook without looking at the display.
I had to remove the mounting bracket to alllow the Sero! to function properly.
As this is only the second Possum Sero! that I have set up, I was wondering if
anyone else on AssisTech had noticed this problem or whether I have
a ‘rogue’ ‘phone?
Thanks for your help.
Yours sincerely,
