it started when we were clearing out my fiance's house, we started to feel we were being watched whenever we were upstairs, we had both seen the ghosts before but they never bothered us, till now. it always happens between 7pm and 4am, whenever we go upstairs we get light headed, increased heart rate, even faintness. the culmination of this was we were chatting in the bedroom, and i was knocked to the floor as my fiance saw a black figure approach her and walk through her into the next room(through the wall), we thought we were going mad. her friend was looking after the dog for an evening and was just leaving when she looked up the stairs and saw a man standing with a long black cloak on, it had a hood that was up, the man was like a shadow. if you need more info please contact me as we really do need help with this ghost

Yes I've actually had quite a few paranormal experiences from just footsteps and tapping to watching objects fly across the room, to having doors I'm holding the handle to get ripped out of my hand and slammed shut.  At this point in my life I've dealed with so much paranormal that I don't react like I used to.

Hi,
This has been in my head for years now and I need to get it of my chest to people who will understand what I am trying to say without laughing at me for what I am about to say.
May I just add that I am a normal girl and I don’t have any sort of “powers”
I’ve had a few things happen to me so I will start from the very first thing that I saw.

When I was 7 years old (Now 24), I lived in a house in London with my brother (5) my sisters (4 and 11months) and my parents. My great granddad R Wild had died of Alzheimer’s disease a year earlier. This was a tragic loss as I spent a lot of time with him while my mum went round and helped look after him.
One night after a Chinese take-away we all went to bed as normal. The lights in my bedroom were turned off and my door was shut. I couldn’t stand trying to sleep in a lit or partially lit room. I was in the top bunk and my sister (4years old) slept in the bottom bunk.
I fell sound asleep. I noticed that I was getting restless, which is weird in itself as I was still asleep but felt like I my body was sleeping and that I had all my feelings as if I were awake. I started to feel really weird, as if I was about to be sick so I turned over in my bunk a few times. Eventually I came to rest on my side facing the room. I could sense that there was a light on and opened my eyes.
I suddenly couldn’t move but I was relaxed and wasn’t worried. I noticed that it was my room that was alight but looking directly at the light I could see that it wasn’t on. Then there it was, inches from my face.
A strange dark grey “thing” that I can only describe as a cloudy substance like fog but concentrated into the form of a figure. No distinguishable features what so ever. No face, eyes, ears, nose, etc.
It looked like a puff of smoke that had taken shape. I wasn’t scared. The sick feeling had gone and had been replaced by a warm comforted feeling. Almost like I expected it to be there.
It started talking to me. It said that I shouldn’t be worried about my parents trip (My parents NEVER go away and would always tell us if they were!) that they would be fine. They would have a near hit and miss with a car, but they will be just fine. He told me that my grand-parents would look after me while they were gone and that they wouldn’t be gone long. This was the only thing that I could understand. He kept talking to me,, but everything he said was different. Almost as if he was speaking in a different language at super speed. I appeared to have understood everything he said and even could hear myself replying to what he was saying as he was talking.

The next morning I didn’t feel any different and thought that I’d had a strange dream. I didn’t think anything of it at all. My mum called us all into the kitchen and gave us our breakfast.
I sat there eating my breakfast and then my mum said “While I’ve got you all at the table, I wanted to let you know that me and your dad are going to France for the weekend with some friends. Don’t worry nana and granddad will come over to look after you…”
After she said that I freaked out, left the room when upstairs and cried my heart out.
What the hell was that!! It confirmed that my dream was NOT a dream.

When my parents came back from France the first thing (Which is odd in itself, as they weren’t driving!) was “how was the traffic out there?” Dad said something about the French roads and that him and my mother were almost knocked down by a car that lost control.

I thought that I had possibly seen a shadow person, but why would he talk to me? Why would he take an interest in  my family? Or could it have been my great grand father from the grave trying to speak to me?

The weird thing is that as time goes on I seem to click with the stuff that he was telling me. Almost as if the information he provided (the weird jabber talk) is on a time delay.

Anyone else out there had anything similar happen to them?? I really want to hear from you!

the hanging man.

Hi,

Here’s another experience I have had!

While at work I was asked to pop out to the bank to get some change for the till. While walking to the bank, on route there was a railway bridge that you have to walk under.
Nothing unusual as I’ve walked under it 100’s of times before. That day was different.
As I walked under the bridge I felt as if something had swept past my head. I put it down to pigeons.
I looked up anyway and nearly wet myself at what I saw.

What I could see was a man, dressed in modern clothes hanging from the bridge girder by his neck.
He was looking at me, just hanging, swinging. I freaked and ran all the way to the bank then back to work, running under a different part of the bridge to avoid seeing him again.

I calmed myself down and told myself that it was my imagination. When I got home I mentioned this to my boyfriends mum. She said that it was weird. I described him to her in every detail that I could remember. A week later her and her husband went to Tunisia on their hols for two weeks.

When they came home they had their friends come over to catch up. I was upstairs watching TV with my boyfriend. I saw my bf’s mum later after their friends had left. She looked pale and a little bit nervous. I asked if she was ok. She said that she had something to tell me, but didn’t want to scare me. I begged her to tell me what was up and she folded.
She said that one of her friends had mentioned that someone they knew had killed himself. I apologised for her loss. She said, that’s not what I needed to tell you. I stood glued to the spot.
She said that the person that I had described to her three weeks previously was the person that had killed himself by hanging himself. I was shocked. I was even more shocked to know that he had killed himself only a week earlier. Which means he was still alive when I had seen him dead.
I even managed to describe the clothes that he was found in. The man in question had hung himself due to being accused of touching a young woman who later admitted to making up the story to get money from him. He couldn’t live with the guilt.

Now that was four years ago.

Anyone have any comments on this? Why it happens? How I could’ve seen someone’s death before they died?

Shaking beds!

I’ve woken up a few times and found that my bed feels like its shaking. As if someone is holding the end of the bed and shaking it fast but gently. This happened up until I was 17 when I met my boyfriend and proceeded to sleep in his bed with him.
One morning I even got really annoyed thinking that my brother was playing tricks on me and was under my bed shaking the bed violently. I started shouting at him to stop it and to get from under my bed. I was really quite load. My mum came in to see what was going on and my brother and sisters were with/following her to see what the commotion was about.
As soon as she went to open the door it stopped immediately.
I felt like a proper wally and told my mum that it was a bad dream. It carried on for another 20mins then just stopped. Haven't had it happen since.

I've had many but one which has especially intrigued me occurred on a visit to Windsor Castle in the early '80's.  Because the ghosts there are so well known, I thought that someone here would have some idea of what or whom it might be.

The ghost(s) was in one of the towers, damned I am for not being able to pinpoint which tower but I was so nonplussed after the experience, I completely forgot to take note of it.

I was on my way out when I passed a opening in the ceiling of the tower and the most ancient ladder I'd ever seen leading up to it.  Two women (tourists) were descending the ladder, wide-eyed and exclaiming to each other, "what was that"?  Now it looked to me as though some workman had left the ladder there for a bit (something which I'm sure could not happen today) and intrigued, I started to climb up the ladder.  By the 3rd rung or so, I felt a very heavy pressure pushing me as though something did not want me to climb the ladder.  The pressure increased with every rung but I persisted and climbed all the way into the loft, or whatever it was.  It was pitch dark and there were no windows discernible but the ceiling felt as though it was low. I saw nothing except possibly a little white mist in the corner although I couldn't swear to it.  The feeling of absolute terror came over me but I've been in similar situations and was not really scared.  Actually, I felt as though someone, possibly two beings huddled together, were in that space with me and that they were actually terrified.  I got the feeling that they wanted me out to protect me because of a third party who was not there at the time. By the time I descended the ladder my legs felt like mush and I felt very drained.

I've researched it as much as I could and thought that this was possibly the Curfew tower where people were at one time sort of "hung out" but I can't be sure.  It was somewhere on the periphery of the castle.

Ghosts disturbed by production of 19th century classic
Production of new adaptation of The Ghost of Engineers’ Castle, a classic story, with many references to historic events and numerous ghosts haunting this grand building still standing in St Petersburg was disrupted by strange paranormal forces.

During recording of last track of the audio, which was altered by the producers for technical and artistic reasons, the digital production system was attacked at least 13 times. It crashed every time when altered sections were assembled together preventing completion of this release. Even attempts to split the last track failed and only after producers agreed to remove several changes, the ghosts left the studio. One of the computers subjected to ghost attacks was so badly damaged by electric surges, that memory chips had to be replaced twice during production. Such crashes continued even on new computer brought to replace affected production system. Production team had strange sensations with voices telling them to drop alterations.  For some reason ghosts did not appreciate changes in the script.

In order to reproduce the atmosphere of events described by the author, Nikolai Leskov, production studios used special audio effects including blasts of lightning, growling winds and others. It appears that these studio effects will now have additional final touches imposed either by the ghosts mentioned in the script or by some other paranormal forces taking interest in this production.  Apart from interfering with production process, these forces appear to have taken some interest in the theme tune which supposed to appear as separate track. The theme tune is now incorporated into last track instead and made part of concluding chapters of the story.

Originally written by Nikolai Leskov in Russian, previously unknown to English speaking audiences, this title is now available in English as audio book adaptation produced by Fantastica, a division of Max Bollinger Interactive Media production house based in London.  The Ghost of Engineers’ Castle is a classic masterpiece featuring not only numerous accounts of apparitions, ghosts and other paranormal events appearing at the famous location in St Petersburg, the story also shows how ghosts and paranormal activities manifest themselves in our societies and influence not only our literature, but also behaviour and traditions.

Marble Hill House

I will start by saying this happened some years ago, and there have been other odd experiences inbetween, including the haunting of my current house.. but I'll save that for another time.

I will also add that I don't believe in ghosts. Even when these things actually happened to me, and I was scared, I just don't believe in them. A little strange since I'm telling ghost stories now but I would like the rational explanation.

When I was quite young my uncle worked for English heritage at a property called Marble Hill House in London. My family (my mother and father and brother and I) stayed with him at his flat in the old stable house. We all stayed in my uncles room whilst he slept in the smaller spare bedroom.

Some time after we all went to bed I could hear the noise of what sounded like a large party in the lounge next door. Thinking that my uncle had got back up and turned the TV on in an ignorant way, I didnt think too much of it. But the noises were strange, they didnt sound much like a tv.. I think the nearest way to describe it would be old fashioned music, like a gramaphone or similar and voices talking loudly. There was definitely a female voice. But then footsteps started, like shoes upon wooden floorboards walking back and forth in the small hallway outside the room. Again, didnt give it a great deal of thought, just tried to get to sleep. The last thing I remember was the door of the room opening (thinking my uncle had got up to retrieve something from the room) before falling off to sleep.

The next day over breakfast was when it became apparent something was odd. My mum berated my uncle for being so loud whilst we were all trying to sleep. He denied doing anything of the sort; he'd slept soundly as soon as his head had hit the pillow that night. I explained that I had heard these things too (it was only some years later that my Dad would grudgingly admit that he'd heard as well, I guess he didnt want to get us worked up. My brother, alas, slept soundly and didnt hear a thing) We had all experienced the same thing- the party, the footsteps, the door opening- it seems we all fell asleep at that same time.

On reflection, we realised the footsteps on wooden floorboards were odd as the flat was completely carpeted. On the following nights no other strange things happened, except every single door that was closed before bed would be wide open in the morning. This happened every night in the flat.

My uncle admitted to having heard stories from the previous occupants about a haunting. I cant remember the specifics, but I think perhaps there had been a suicide. I would love to know if there is any basis for this rumour?

Rational explanations welcome.
