Hellllp! Can't get it to remember LogonI'm a total noob to configuring this stuff on Linux, so please bear with me if my question is stupid.
I have got the portal all setup (Ubuntu, Tomcat 5.0.28, everything right from the package provided by eXo), everything seems to be working beautifully. and when I enter logon credentials it seems to log me on, and then promptly forgets who I am, takes me back to the generic portal page, and there is still a "sign in" button up top. When I try and log on to the WebOS same thing happens, I enter "valud creds" and it takes me to the generic anonymous portal page, and seems to have forgotten who I am. I tried to enter "bad" creds and it does kick those out as being bad. I am sure this is just a crazy configuration issue on my part being new to the technology. but can someone help a fella out? thanks in advance. Leigh. |

Re: Hellllp! Can't get it to remember LogonHi Leigh,
A question is never stupid :-).
Two things :
- Are you launching Tomcat using the eXo.sh shell script ?
- If yes, could you try to export all the variables defined into that script ? We had some reports saying that this operation is needed in some environments. I'm not sure if this is fixed in the version you have.

Re: Hellllp! Can't get it to remember Logonthank you for your response.
I did export the vars in the eXo.sh script. but this did not work for me. I ran eXo in "debug" mode from a terminal which let me see what it was doing... it looked like it was having some failures from Java, I think I messed this machine up evaluating portals (trying to pick one for a client). So I'm doing a whipe of everything and a fresh install, where I'll install eXo first. Another question. just to try an keep things as simple as possible on my new OS install, (Ubuntu) I installed the tomcat5.5 from the package manager, which means we have Tomcat up and running before we install eXo. is there a guide you or someone else can point me to on how to install eXo into an existing tomcat install? (also I installed Java6 rather than java5 I hope this wont cause any problems ;) ) thanks again Leigh
