Why not try a GUI edition of hello using QT and/or GTK for newbies.
It's very important and fond, I think.

I agree it would be useful, but making a GUI hello would simply
complicate the existing hello too much (by far).  It would need to be a
separate project.  And I would hope that the GTK/QT people already
provide one.
