Hello,

I got some problem in Gbrowser. I installed it and moved  Volvox1.gff file in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\gbrowse\databases\volvox

ad volvox.conf in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\conf\gbrowse.conf. I try to run the Gbrowser. I got error message

The landmark named ctgA is not recognized. See the help pages for suggestions.

In C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\logs\error I got this message listed below

Mon Aug 31 10:34:21 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Use of uninitialized value in -d at C:/Perl/lib/CGI.pm line 4083, <DATA> line 192., referer: http://localhost/cgi-bin/gbrowse/volvox/

[Mon Aug 31 10:34:21 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] , referer: http://localhost/cgi-bin/gbrowse/volvox/

[Mon Aug 31 10:34:21 2009] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Can't open sequence file(s). Use -gff instead of -dir if you wish to load features without sequence., referer: http://localhost/cgi-bin/gbrowse/volvox/

Please help me to fix this problem.

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks & Regards,

Rekha

Hello Rekha,

I suspect there is something wrong with your configuration file.  Open
up the volvox.conf file in the gbrowse.conf directory and see if the
file path next to the either -gff or -dir points to a real file at the
location where you put the GFF file.
