Help With Failed opening required Message

Hi,

I receive the following error when logging in to read my email via Squirrelmail.  It has always worked fine for me up until 9/13/2009.  I am the webmaster for our non-profit group and inherited the website. The use of Squirrelmail was set up prior to my taking over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your php and web server configuration. You have enabled PHP open_basedir restrictions on virtual host or global PHP configuration and forgot to include path to SquirrelMail scripts.
