There doesn't appear to be a mipsel machine that I can access as a
developer to test this bug and as it was a binNMU with only one arch
failing, I'm at a loss to see how to fix it unless someone can
reproduce it and help with the debugging. (mips is fine).

morales.debian.org is listed as "down: bios issues" on
http://db.debian.org/machines.cgi and the other machines are locked
down and/or restricted.

Help?

Preamble: Not sure if this is related. If you carefully check this log I
see one main difference to successful builds. In all successful builds,
libtool and other utilities are called via /bin/sh, whereas in this log,
libtool is called via /bin/bash and the failing command is
calling /bin/sh. Just a guess: Did the shell changed on this machine
(from /bin/bash to ??) and that's causing thew problem with shift?

Really, this is just a wild guess.

Regards, Daniel
