We are non-traditional consulting firm. Our services focus on generating solid growth and sustainable business. Our work is based on ethnographic and qualitative research and lately we been collaborating with some of our clients to understand local cultures and communities in emerging markets.
We are planning to start a project about water and hygiene management experiences in communities that are in “extreme” situations. The idea will be to develop fieldwork in Morocco at the Sahara desert in some nomad community and small villages in the rural areas.
To develop this project, we are planning to involve a senior anthropologist but we also need some local assistant (1 male/ 1 female) from local Universities (preferable with a background in sociology, geography or anthropology and some ethnographic experience) to assist on the fieldwork, capable to speak English and give us a “first feel” and cultural contextualisation during the research
to collaborate on “shaping” the research based on the local knowledge,
to collaborate on translating the interviews and during the fieldwork
to collaborate on writing the notes from the interviews and fieldwork executed
to collaborate on elaborating the findings to be shared during analysis sessions
to collaborate in the fine-tuning of the ethnographic guide, recruiting, sites location, planning and logistics for the fieldwork
At this point we don't have much information but here are some details about the possible time and scope:
Time: fieldwork probably starting on Monday 19th January till 19th February
Goal: to understand main experiences (practices and behaviours) and cultural mindset (values, perceptions) regarding the water and hygiene management experiences (hygiene practices and lifestyles, routines…) in the community, family and private life.
