Help...CF install on OS X 10.4 problems

Hello. I'm a newbie. The install of CF 7.0.1 is not working on my Mac  
OS 10.4, as in the second part of the installation in the browser  
under "http://127.0.0.1:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm," I put in  
my password and go to another page that ususally states "500 Null" on  
it. Sometimes the page states to wait while it configures, but I  
always end up "500 Null." I didn't install Tomcat or JRun first as I  
understand this is no longer necessary. I went to my Java Preferences  
to direct the computer to us J2SE 1.4.2 instead of J2SE 5 (as I  
understand 5 is not supported). Re-installed CF and still the same  
thing.

If anyone can please help I'd greatly appreciate it. At this point,  
I'd even pay for help since the Macromedia free support is no longer  
available under Adobe (only forums and tech notes that don't pertain  
to things this low on the totem pole). I'm desperate. Thanks.

Are you on an Intel Mac or an a G series?
Which option did you choose to for the type of server configuration?  
Standalone, Multi-server?

Open up your Activity Monitory (/Applications/Utilities/Activity  
Monitor). Is "cfmx7" listed in there?

I believe that is ok, that it is in their twice. What do your log  
files show? You should be able to access these in the ColdFusionMX7  
root folder.

There are several log files: application, cfserver, eventgateway, exception, server, sms-test-exception0, sms-test0, sms-test1, sms-test2. The application log says a bunch of errors on it. I'm not sure which log your inquiring about. Please advise.

Did you ever discover a fix, because I did:
Find the file "adminconfig.xml" (mine was located at /Applications/
JRun4/servers/cfusion/cfusion-ear/cfusion-war/WEB-INF/cfusion/lib/
adminconfig.xml). Change the value between the tags <runsetupwizard>  
from true to false. And save the file. Then try accessing the admin  
page again, it should work.

Kyle thanks for the information! I haven't installed JRun4 or Tomcat on my Mac as I understand CF 7.0.1 doesn't need it, but I will give this a try. Thanks again!
