Herc Gui and snapshots

[Rocky-11]

I have been using Fish's Herc gui for about two years off and on - works great.

Gui is Version 1.11.1.5625
Hercules is version 3.06

I recently downloaded a more recent snapshot from the website, did the install and then copied everything over the current files in the Hercules Execution directory.

The GUI fails to connect to Hercules.
Without the GUI hercules came up.

I restored the 3.06 and it
again works fine
Am I missing something? do I have to do something else?

That will require an upgrade to the VS C runtime.
It was recently discussed in hercules-390.

Either you made a mistake with the description
(it is Hercules that shouldn't come up, no
matter what), or you have a problem other than
the normal one.

Apologize for the imperfect description.

 

But MS VS express is automatically updated by MS. So I should have their
latest runtimes.

 

I searched all the yahoo's for a message that referred to Runtime and found
nothing related to this issue going back to January.

 

Do you have a more specific pointer for me where I can download this
runtime?

Is this a real version from them or a special fix?

Only if you installed the real 500 MB or whatever
product itself, rather than just the redistributable.

Maybe "redistributable" would pick it up, or maybe
Yahoo's search is broken. On the hercules-os380
group there is a link to an alternative search
engine.

This is the tail end of a tail end of a pointer
