Hi dudes, I'm Jargean, I'm new in this list.
Is there any people reading this list now?
I'm not an advanced user, really. Really I'm not going to be helpful in the development of the program, anyway I dropped here to ask for a little of help with jackdmp. I'm not asking for a how-to, note that I've been reading some things in internet, etc. and I've managed to get it to work a little, and just need a little help to get what I want. Maybe this is the wrong place to ask?
BTW Thanks to all the developers, that's a great program!
Thanks, I hope your reply.

Can anyone send me the walkthrough of getting started with jack? I've recently heard that there's a wiki (trac.jackaudio.org), and I've gone there and found that the walkthrough I've mentioned is not available. If there were a previous version of the walkthrough, could you please send it to me?
 Thanks
 Jargean

Getting started as what? A user of JACK and various JACK-aware
applications? A developer of a new JACK-aware application? Hacking on
JACK?

Hi Ralf, Thanks!!
Just one question, will this work on Windows XP? I wrote an answer but I failed to send it to the actual mailing list, I tell you:

"I want to connect the sound of any windows application(I think I need the simple client to do that) to Logic Audio (an audio/MIDI sequencer), and also connect my ASIO sound card Ins/Outs to Logic. So that Logic is the main mixer of the computer and also a sequencer/ recorder. So far I managed to connect Logic as a client, and also the sound card. Then I wanted to connect VAC to JACK, and set VAC as windows' default audio driver, but I've not managed to connect VAC at the same time that I connect the sound card. Then I thought of using the simple client.
Thanks"

So that's my target, anyway If that tutorial is valid for Windows, I'll look into it, sure it will help me in any way. Is it?
Thanks again

Hi Jargean :)

I'm sorry, but I didn't know Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) before I read
your mail and I don't use Windows at home. When I'm using Windows in a
studio, then I do use Steinberg without JACK.

I don't know anything about JACK on Windows, dunno if this howto is fine
for Windows too.

You should test 64 Studio Linux, AV Linux or Fedora Linux plus planet
ccrma instead of using Windows ... if possible, I know that depending to
the users needs and the used hardware Linux isn't always an optimal
solution.

Just test a LiveMedia, e.g. http://www.bandshed.net/AVLinux.html.

Sorry, I can't help you with your problem.

Cheers,
Ralf

Hi Jargean,
Using Jack2 Windows build (Jackdmp 1.9.3) : Any 32bit ASIO capable App
will be able to see the Jackrouter ASIO driver and make connections
with Jack. If VAC is ASIO capable then it 'should' work.

Hi GrahamG,
VAC does work but the problem is when I want to use VAC and my Sound Card at the same time. My sound card worked alone as well.
You know If I can run both at the same time?
