Hippo CMS v6.05.07 questionHi Jasha,
I am reading the Hippo CMS v6.05.07 release note[1], and got a bit confused. We upgraded our Hippo CMS to trunk v6.06 build 19096 for the updated Xinha editor and a bug fix for the search result pagination. Now since we want IE 8 support, I am planning to upgrade (downgrade?) to v6.05.07. However, from the release notes, I can't really tell whether the Xinha upgrade and the search result pagination fix are included. Could you please help me to understand the differences between v6.06 trunk & v6.05.07? [1] http://wiki.onehippo.com/display/CMS/Hippo+CMS+v6.05.07+Release+notes Thanks a lot! Re: Hippo CMS v6.05.07 questionHi Jun,
The Xinha upgrade has not been committed to the 6.05 branch because we found out that some plugins behaved differently (like our customised language plugin). The trunk (6.06) is meant for new features and if they are stable they may be backported to the latest branch (6.05). I don't recall a search pagination issue. Do you have a link to Jira or a mail archive? RE: Hippo CMS v6.05.07 questionHI Jasha,
The search pagination issue was something we discovered with 6.05.04: when there are multiple pages of search results, clicking the "next" button in Firefox freezes the search pane. I didn't see this issue reported anywhere, but it was fixed in the 6.06 trunk. I just tested it with 6.05.07, it worked with no problem. So it seems that if I want to preserve the Xinha upgrade, I'll have to go with 6.06 trunk. Then my question for you is: is the latest build of the 6.06 trunk IE8 compatible? Thanks a lot for the quick reply, especially when you are on vacation. Jun -----Original Message----- From: hippocms-dev-bounces@...
