Holiday resorts with ECS

Hello,

I wonder if anyone has been involved with or has heard of any holiday
resorts/hotels that have environmental control systems installed at their
premisses. So besides the standard equipment that one would find at an
accessible establishment of this kind, is there any where appliances can be
controlled via an environmental control unit, either the client's one or one that
the hotel can provide. I understand that if the customer's own unit were to be
used there could be some programming issues but has anybody heard of
something like this to exist?

Thank you all!

No, sorry...

...but I did have a similar request to ask - i.e. does anyone know places (or a list of places) in the UK or abroad that cater for holidays for people with severe disabilities (i.e. including carers and hoisting etc)?

Cheers.

Simon

Probably, not quite what either of you had in mind but a friend of mine gave
me a leaflet for this place for another friend - he didn't fancy it, but it
does look fun for the right person.

Hi All,

Are you aware of this charity :

If you are not able to book with them, I think they will know of places that are wheelchair friendly (throughout Europe) and some of these places, will have some of the equipment required

Hope this helps!

Two of our residents just got back from a Jubilee Sailing Trust holiday and had a great time. We've had quite a few go over the years, but hadn't done it for a while, but it seems it was as good as ever. They took two carers each. One of the nurses thought she was going on a cruise ship and got a bit of a shock, but also really enjoyed it ! Definitely recommended (but I don't think they have environmental controls - sorry, this thread is getting a bit multi-purpose !!)
