That's what we call msgfmt --check for in po/translation.php, and it
indeed shows any errors for me. No idea why I doesn't for you. You can
try calling it manually.

Horde Groupware Webmail Edition 1.2.x in Basque language (eu)

We have recently updated our Horde Groupware Webmail Edition to the
last stable version (1.2) and therefore we have also updated the
translation for our language.

We have translated all the Groupware Webmail Edition + Gollem, help
files included.

the attached patch updates the lib/Block/metar.php and
lib/Block/weatherdotcom.php scripts to allow more translations (such as
units and compass directions). I have also attached a metar_strings.php
dummy script to complement the weatherdotcom_strings script.

Usually we ask people to talk the last translator first. But since the
Czech translations haven't been updated in over two year, we welcome
any contribution.

Permission denied login.php

I'm trying to install horde in a new server with the following items:
Debian 2.6.26-2-amd64
horde 3.2.2
imp 4.2.4
apache 2.2.9
php 5.2.6
when I try to install for the first time to configure it by web, it show the
following:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [no address given] and inform them of
the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have
caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

And the log (apache2 error.log) shows the following:
[Wed Sep 30 12:31:26 2009] [error] [client 200.60.166.10] (13)Permission denied:
exec of '/var/www/horde3/login.php' failed
[Wed Sep 30 12:31:26 2009] [error] [client 200.60.166.10] Premature end of
script headers: login.php

the permissions of login.php is the following
-r--r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 8740 ene 29 2009 login.php

support of UTF8 in .po files

Hi!

Does the current stable framework support the use of UTF8 in
localisation files?

Due to the changes in environment (switched to Slackware64-13), native
localisation tool in KDE4 - Localize 0.3 does not offer anything other
than UTF8.

Russian locale

Russian localization in Horde looks very incomplete. Full messages catalog has
2091 messages, 1219 fuzzy, 563 untranslated. I have started to complete this,
and re-check ru_RU.po file now. I'll create bug in tracker, where will post
patch to supplied ru_RU.po file. After patching there will be 907 fuzzy and
440 untranslated, so I had have translated now 312 fuzzy and 123 untranslated
messages.

Re: Update Swedish IMP translations

I've been in contact with both Andreas Dahlén and Joaquim Homrighausen.
Andreas is no longer an active Horde user and he doesn't subscribe to
the i18n mailing list. It's OK with him if someone else continue his work.
Joaquim is still using Horde and he wants to continue maintaining the
translations together with me.

Well, it took a bit longer than I had hoped, but here it is:
http://baggesen.net/horde-da_DK.tar.gz (current with todays Framework-3)

There are a few blank spots, mostly because I do not have access to
Kolab functionality, which makes it difficult to determine context.
Examining the source is not always enough.

BTW, your (anonymous) CVS server is extremely slow :-(

Hunspell support of IMP

Hi,

I successfully used the hunspell spelling checker instead of aspell for
Horde/IMP 3.1.5/4.1.5. All you needed for that was to change the
location of the aspell binary to hunspell in /horde/config/conf.php, and
change a few lines in /horde/config/nls.php like:
instead of $nls['spelling']['en_US'] = '-d american';
to $nls['spelling']['en_US'] = '-d en_US';

My problem is, that since upgrading to 3.3.4/4.3.4, hunspell won't work.
My users are accustomed of using the spell checker, and hunspell is a
must for Hungarian (and many other languages, too...)

I looked at the source, and found I need to write
/horde/imp/lib/SpellChecker/hunspell.php
and change /horde/config/conf.php

I wrote the script based on /horde/imp/lib/SpellChecker/aspell.php,
however it doesn't work for me (I am not a php programmer, but the
script is not complicated). It really drives me nuts. The relevant lines
work from the command line, but the script doesn't through Horde.
It is not a uid/permission problem.
Please those of you who are interested in a good alternative to aspell
have a look at bug #8304 here:
