How 3D is OpenAL

Hi everyone,

I've been experimenting a bit with OpenAL and made recordings of the output sound.
It looks like the amplitude of the waves depend on position, but I can't see any shift from the propagation delay that should exist between left and right channel depending on position....

Is OpenAL not considering that? Or am I missing parameters to set?

I always thought this is more important than gain of stereo channel for perceiving spacial audio...

Any hints on thats?
