How can Atom Publishing Protocol GET be used to locate entry(s) of interest in an entry collection?

For example, Client A posts an ad (atom entry specifying ad details via APP POST).  Client B wants to update the ad entry posted by Client A.  Client B knows some context about the ad, such as product ID and the ‘entry collection URL’.  How does Client B obtain the ad atom entry posted by Client A (thus obtaining the edit-url).  How can Client B query a entry collection via APP?

I would like to add a new URL to the roller-services APP entry collection.  This URL would be used to perform a GET with search parameters.  The result would be an atom feed containing 0 or more entries that matched the search criteria.

Does something like this exist today or in the works?

What should the URL look like?  I was thinking /roller-services/app/[weblog-handle]/entries/search/[search parameters]

Would this functionality be something the Roller community is interested in?

Thanks,

Nathan
