How do I edit the tags with this great new interface?Sure the new "improvements" look good, but I feel like we've lost some
usability. It used to be a cinch to edit the tags on a bookmark I've got tagged. I can't find an edit button. How do I edit the tags on a bookmark that's already in my list. Posting it as new is not convenient. And cheese! I keep getting blocked by pressing the buttons on the webpages! |

Re: How do I edit the tags with this great new interface? They must have just added it back, because it wasn't there before.
Thank you. I'm still getting blocked a lot. |

Re: How do I edit the tags with this great new interface?Ok, they DID take it out and never put it back.
Search for a website that you bookmarked. You can't edit your bookmark in the search results. It just says saved. |

Re: Re: How do I edit the tags with this great new interface? It looks like that is true only for search. If you are viewing your
bookmarks without searching them, then I see Edit and Delete, but when I search for a bookmark, I only see saved in the search view. So it is possible to edit them, but it would be a lot harder to pull up if you have to go looking for the bookmark under a tag view or something. That does seem broken. Re: How do I edit the tags with this great new interface?Hi -- We did take the edit option off of just the search result pages.
The reason for this is that our new search engine can take a few minutes to update when items are changed, so you'd have a situation where you would edit an item from the search results page, reload the page, and still see the old data (in contrast, you would see the new data on your own bookmarks page instantly). We've heard feedback several times now that people want and need this option anyway, so we're working on bringing it back, probably with some sort of warning message so people understand why the changes don't appear instantly in search results. Thanks for your patience... --Stephen --- In ydn-delicious@..., "Tamara Crowe" <tamara@...> wrote: > > It looks like that is true only for search. Re: How do I edit the tags with this great new interface? The old del.icio.us didn't have this problem. Respectfully, if your
new search engine creates problems like this, then maybe that tells you something about your new search engine. There was nothing wrong with the old search engine. Yahoo fixed what wasn't broken. We were all very happy with del.icio.us. Not so much with delicious.com. I hope Yahoo has learned a lesson in this takeover: ask the members before you change anything on a website that has a huge following. You never know how even a seemingly insignificant change can affect the lives of the users. --- In ydn-delicious@..., "Stephen Hood" <stephenh@...> wrote: > > Hi -- We did take the edit option off of just the search result pages. > The reason for this is that our new search engine can take a few > minutes to update when items are changed, so you'd have a situation > where you would edit an item from the search results page, reload the > page, and still see the old data (in contrast, you would see the new > data on your own bookmarks page instantly). > > We've heard feedback several times now that people want and need this > option anyway, so we're working on bringing it back, probably with > some sort of warning message so people understand why the changes > don't appear instantly in search results. > > Thanks for your patience... > > --Stephen > > > --- In ydn-delicious@..., "Tamara Crowe" <tamara@> > > > > It looks like that is true only for search.
