How is ATG platform

I'm new to ATG platform but i'm well experienced in Java/J2EE.
How is ATG platform?currently, i'm working on the ATG as a trainee.
How is the future in the ATG?
Is it good demand  in the India after trained?

There seem to be plenty of opportunities out there for ATG developers working on eCommerce projects. I've been working with the platform for 10 years now. Its a great platform for building web applications with.
