How to Turn off Jigsaw Serialization?

Is there any way preferably through configuration that I may turn off the usage of stores (which are according to my understanding just used for resource serialization)?
Please also comment on that what can be the possible issues that can be caused by turning off serialization. In my scenario I don't need any kind of resource state persistance in case of my server restart.
