How to add functionality to Poppler

Hi everyone,

I have written a function to get the PDF ID in the trailer dictionary, if it doesnot exist, I generated a new ID and set it, and retrieve from there.
How can I add these functions in the Poppler, so that in every release I can have access to those functions. To whom I have to inform about this. OR is poppler providing already what I want.
Please help me out as early as possible.

You send a patch and if the code is good, the functionality is ok and the
licensing is ok too, we add it to poppler.
