How to get at the timezone-information in the publication datetimeHi all!
We have a need to get at the time zone of the publication datetime in the rss item / atom entry if present. I found the following entry from 2005 that seems related: https://rome.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=users&msgNo=664 Has Rome changed since that time? Are we still out of luck unless we follow the advice in the posting: Write your own parsers that inherits from the ROME parsers. Subclass the beans and add a DateText field where you store the actual text for the Date. Subclass the generators to use the text instead of the Date to generate. Are there any good architectural overviews of Rome that would be useful to read before trying to write something like the above on top of Rome? Thanks, Lars --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscribe@... For additional commands, e-mail: users-help@... |

RE: How to get at the timezone-information in the publication datetimeHi Lars,
Yes, I think that the advice in the posting you referenced is still relevant. Can I ask why you need the timezone information? This is probably the most useful piece of documentation if you'd like to try this: http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Javawsxml/Rome05Plugins The explanation on http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Javawsxml/Rome04HowRomeWorks is also useful > -----Original Message----- > From: lars [mailto:lolsson@...] > Sent: Monday, 20 April 2009 6:48 AM > To: users@... > Subject: How to get at the timezone-information in the publication > datetime > > Hi all! > > We have a need to get at the time zone of the publication datetime in > the rss item / atom entry if present. > > I found the following entry from 2005 that seems related: > > https://rome.dev.java.net/servlets/ReadMsg?listName=users&msgNo=664 > > Has Rome changed since that time?
