How to install a Thinstation iso to the local hard driveWe have gotten an usable iso image of thinstation for our workstation. So if we leave the CD in the drive, and boot up, it works fine. But now, how can I install this image to the local hard drive?

Re: How to install a Thinstation iso to the local hard driveI myself just got this working on a test station. Information is scattered but it does exist. A brief explanation is in the FAQ http://thinstation.sourceforge.net/faq.html about booting to a local hard drive. There's also some information here about booting to a local CF card. None of the complete explanations worked for me so I took a little from here and a little from there.
If you're using the TS-O-Matic, I'll have to apologize, I don't know what files are available to you. I am using the linux build environment. The short version of what I did was this. 1. Use a DOS boot disk create a small partition with FDISK (I created a 100MB partition). Set that partition active. Reboot. 2. Use the DOS boot disk again and format. (format c:) 3. From your build environment grab the contents of /ThinstationXX/boot-images/syslinux and put it on media (I used a USB stick) 3. Boot a linux disk (I used a slackware CD) to a command line. 4. Mount your media (mine was a usb stick) and go to it. 5. WITHOUT MOUNTING the hard drive in linux, syslinux the hard drive (mine: syslinux /dev/hdc1) 6. Copy the contents of your media from your build environments syslinux folder onto the hard drive. Done. Evan List
