How to make a Chinese PDF using DocBook

Need your kind help here~

I have a problem making Chines PDFs with DocBook. (I am not good at and don't know much about it)

My team has been making manuals using DocBook in English, Korean, and Japanese.

But when we try the same in Chinese, it isn't work, just showing blanks. (though the 'lang' attribute is set to 'zh' within the module.properties)

We started working with DocBook by using our own customized DocBook libararies for each language (docbook_en_2.0.zip, docbook_ko_2.0.zip and docbook_ja_2.0.zip, which are upzipped when making a PDF)

Many of us have searched the internet for this issue, but it seems that no clear and direct solution has been found.

Can you help us out?

My questions are

1. Is it really possible to make Chinese PDF files using DocBook? (Though this question may sound silly, this is really important cause it can affect whether or not we will continue to use DocBook later on.)

2. If possible, what exactly should I do to make Chinese PDF files? (Files or configuration)
