How to open a C# project in MonoDevelop?

hi all,
can any one help me out to open a C# project which i built in visual studio to open in monodevelop?
the project doenst show up as a project through monodevelop. rather it shows up as a normal forlder.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

C# is a Microsoft-from langage.
They try to compete with Java.

What I dont understand is why some want to use that
ugly thing on Linux.

There is much open source langages.
(C, Python and Ocaml are my favorites)
They are all easy to use with Emacs, Vi(m) and so on...
