How to read out values of components with Marathon?

Hi,

Im using Marathon to gui-test an application and I would need to read out the String value of a given text component ('Text Area') for an appropiate if-else-clause. I'm sure some method exists within Marathon but I just can't find anything about it in the documentation or anywhere else.

Any help is appreciated!
