How to switch to a different profile?

I've seen an existing thread on this, but it had no resolution as far as I can see.

My situation is that a SmartCVS 7 (free version) installation on an XP system has two profiles defined, one using my login info, another using somebody else's. When I launch SmartCVS, it automatically uses that somebody else's profile, and hence I cannot update, since I don't know his password.

I want to make CVS use my profile so that I can update, but there doesn't appear to be a way to do that. I guess I can check out the relevant project again to a different location, but I would like to know if there is a way that two different profiles can be used to update the same set of files on the local PC. Is there?

Thanks!

With SmartCVS Professional you could use Tools|Change Used Repository. With
SmartCVS Foundation you need to use a search-and-replace tool to modify the
CVS/Root files of your working copy.
