Re: How to use user-defined icon for agent displayYou can use any bitmap image as an agent icon. In the display editor, click "Select Icon File" and point to the file that you would like to use. As a performance note, it's better to use images that are close to the actual scale on the screen. Large images that are scaled down may hurt performance.

Re: How to use user-defined icon for agent displayEric,
Thanks for your reply. However, where is the display editor? When I double-click the display created, it shows "options edit", under Agent Style, I can't found anything that allow me to change the icon.... Could you help me on this? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tatara, Eric R." <tatara@...> To: "Yu Wang" <farheart@...>; <repast-interest@...> Sent: Wednesday, October 28, 2009 7:03 PM Subject: RE: [Repast-interest] How to use user-defined icon for agent display You can use any bitmap image as an agent icon. Re: How to use user-defined icon for agent displaySorry for the mixup - the icon file option is only available in the 2D displays. For GIS displays in RS.1.2, you can load a Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD) - http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/sld which is an XML file that describes the shape, color, size, and other properties of the agent icons in the map display. RS.1.2 does not have a built in SLD editor, but there are several freely available such as uDig (http://udig.refractions.net/) that you can use to create an SLD file and then load into RS using the "Load SLD" button.
