Maybe.  I can recall only 1 or 2 oil switch problems. I think a long
time ago someone put on a T and added an oil gauge.   I don't think I
ever heard of a failed oil pump here.

Hmmm, you thinking of running them up, Pat? Last
I heard Harold was thinking of coming over
Saturday. If so, and if so, maybe coming over here
when Harold does could work well - distance is
about the same for ya.

[Whoa.. three triplers in the same place for scooter
maintenance? That could tear a gaping rift in the
atrophic-plane space/time continuum. (Not to
mention the world supply of beer.)]

Would be very good to lay these old eyes on ya
again, fer sure. Just be warned that the fact I've
been gone for over a year is painfully obvious, the
homestead's a royal mess (I've barely managed to
get unpacked this past week what with work n' all),
but I'll have space for working and access to tools,
and, if you don't have time for wrenching or at least
mimicing a Navy CPO, the deck is clear and has a
sweeping overlook of the jungle that used to be my
back yard, and the beer fridge is stocked.

me neithe3r. usually the problem is related to this lovely 'improvement'  of a bulb out/oil pressure light system. I'd still like to know what dope came up with it. LOL. some things just don't belong together. it's like mustard ice cream.

My tail light worked perfectly, I even took a meter to it... but one day
out of morbid curiosity I replaced it with my car light and vice-a-versa...

Seems the filament was BARELY touching, just enuf to make contact in the
normal position.. but every bump it would break contact and the oil light
would flash and scare the hell out of me...

In the more powerful car electrical system it failed completely.

This has happened twice now, and now I always buy the "Heavy Duty" style
bulbs and it seems much happier with it.

I am presently in possession of 3 brandy-new spark caps for Harold. I was
planning to run them up tomorrow sometime in the AM...To Dan's abode, or to
Harold's, they're about equidistant from here. Unfortunately, I don't have
addresses or directions for either of you, and I've deleted the mails that
had phone numbers. So, when and where would be the optimal gathering time?
We can take it off-list so others don't have to read our blatherings...
