Hi,

I have just installed the gnuGK and I have no idea in how to use Vpoint HD and Ekiga to communicate with my gatekeeper (192.168.1.254:7000). If someone can tell me how and what to put in the config setting of these endpoints to make them work. I know it maybe a simple thing to you guys but to a newbie like me its like a mount Everest. And if possible can you explain how can I use SIP based Cisco Jabber endpoint in this setup also (Soft based please). Please be comprehensive in your response as possible thank you
My gnugk ini is as follows

[Gatekeeper::Main]

Name=gnugk
fourtytwo=42
[GkStatus::Auth]
rule=allow
[RoutedMode]
GKRouted=1
AcceptNeighborsCalls=1
H245Routed=1
AcceptUnregisteredCalls=1

Hi Kamran,

use VPoint for your tests; Ekiga had a bug with gatekeeper registration
last time I checked.
Enter your GnuGk IP (192.168.1.254) without port into the configuration
dialog for a gatekeeper and it will register to the gatekeeper. Your
gatekeeper configuration look fine.
The take a 2nd VPoint and let them call each other by their name or
E.164 number.

You can't use any SIP based endpoints like Jabber with GnuGk.
You'll need a SIP/H.323 gateway and the only free ones available
won't support video.

Regards,
Jan
