The first batch of Iloilo animators which is composed of 46? graduates took the first phase of evaluation given by the Animation Council of the Philippines prior to their graduation last april 2007. There were 7 trainees from Day Class (members of APEX Animation and Creative Studio) passed the skills examination. And 4 from the night class batch. All of them got the evaluation of "PASSED" meaning, there skills was considered as a lucid evolvement in the basic construction, ruffs, clean up and in between. But there were various remarks embeded to the Passers and to the none passers to rectify there drawing skills and practice consistency in lines,strokes, in between and appeal of the drawings especially uniting the model sheet of the senior animator againts the assistant animator.
The Apex Animation and Creative Studio, all from the day class batch are honing there skills to perfect the strokes, thickness of lines and the most ardent part is the clean up process to trace back the ruffs and make a movements using the key drawings and tweening of the character(s) based on the model sheet.
Animation is making waves in Iloilo, this is one of the expensive business in the BOP industry. If given a descent support of the local government, chances are so limitless for oppurtunities to drive more jobs to talented ilonggo artists. This could attract more investors to change the economy of Iloilo and the whole region. The APEX Animation & Creative Studio animators were the first iloilo and Ilonggo animators, product of WVCST Animation training and TESDA-PGMA program in Western Visayas.
