Icons, licenses, sources etc.

Now I am back to my work on Sim-IM (sim-im.org) iconset.
Default iconset there were probably taken from old ICQ
proprietary client, and I had to do something with that.

When I stared this work some time ago, I've downloaded a Crystal Clear
iconset, that seems to be base for KDE 3.5 iconset. I took it here:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=8341
It were said that it is under LGPL licence.

And wile working on iconset I've carefully recorded where each icon
were taken from

Now I am no able:

1. Download that file
2. Find any source SVG, XCF or anything else for icons both from that
file and for icons from KDE source

I know you are not responsible for www.kde-look.org, of for
everaldo.com, my question are:

What source use in my work on Crystal Clear iconset? Are there any
source that has version control system, that allows to get exactly that
icon that I've used, and not the newest version that came after years?

Where is the SVG source for icons used in KDE?

Does LGPL license require to publish sources for images, or it is
allowed to publish only bitmap results?

I believe the best answer is that you have to publish whatever you
modify. So if you take an existing png and paint on it in kolourpaint,
you /might/ be okay publishing just the final png. But if you modify the
original svg, I am pretty sure that makes the svg the "preferred
source", which means you must publish that. Similarly if you use gimp,
then you would need to publish the .xcf with all layers, etc.

Standard disclaimer: IANAL :-).

(Also this might be better asked on kde-licensing (CC'd), or even
contact the FSF or SFLC.)

ok. Where can I get svg source of KDE's icon? I'd like to use them in my
work...

From KDE's svn. I'm not an icon artist; someone else would know more
specifically where than I do, but the Oxygen icons anyway are currently
in kdesupport. (I think Crystal lived in kdebase, but you'll have to go
digging into old revisions, unless they are still around in kdeartwork.)
