The first Ilonggo animators of Iloilo is composed of 46 trainees who completed there 3 months stint training as 2d Assistant Professional Animators of PGMA and TESDA program in promoting the Business Outsourcing and the Information Technology in the region. The trainees were divided into 2 groups the day class and the night class trainees. All of these trainees are A-1 artists who hurdled the drawing skills evaluation given by the ACPI-TESDA to be included in the PGMA and Tesda scholarship program.
The Day class trainees concentrated in there group project the "Barter of Panay" as group animation project,this short production was storyboarded , conceptualized and directed by Arnold M. Fuentes,MPA a P.hD. student of PCU.
This is the first animation of ilonggo culture that discoursed the culture of malays and the aetas who latere formed a government here in panay.
Aside from the "Barter of Panay" the Day class ilustrates also there skills in making there own individual projects a short advertisements and other short animation effects by using the computer as auxiliary tool for time lining and coloring process.
The Day Class formed there group, they call themselves the APEX Animators, the first batch of animators in western visayas.
