Importing QIF

Importing a qif file I get this message:


                               The date entry "01/09/2006" read from the file cannot be interpreted through the current date profile setting of "%m.%d.%yyyy".

Why not? This date is 9 of Jan 2006.

I am just setting up and I can't get past this point.
