Include "Foglie" icon theme in gnome-themes 2.28

The brave Ulisse Perusin released a new version of his icon theme,
Foglie[1]. The icon theme is really pleasant, tango compliant and now
provides large (256x256) version too, IMHO one of the best icon theme
available that allows you to change your desktop with just few icons.

It's a long time that we don't add anything new in gnome-themes, what
about include it in next release? If it's OK, I'll take care of any
commit and source changes.

Cheers, Luca

Could we perhaps concentrate on creating "metathemes", i.e. complete
themes of GTK+, Metacity and Icons. Perhaps you could create a
index.theme to set some colours that would be nice?

Regards,

Thomas

The "metathemes" in Windows 7 are pretty cool.  I encourage everyone
to take a look.  They comprise wallpapers (usually slideshows that
change every 30 minutes by default), window decorations and
panel/taskbar, sound effects, icons, screensaver.

And the UI is kinda nice too:

you know the artist perfectska04? he has made modern clean gtk and metacity themes and especially a very high quality complete tango like icon theme (gnome-colors)! all his themes match perfectly and are available in 5 different colors. please give it a try...

This suggested metatheme [1] comes from Ulisse itself. A png preview
is available here[2].

It's a "remix" based on:
 * Clearlooks-DarkLime for GTK+  (by Ulisse itself, on art.gnome.org,
but updated)
 * Shiki-Colors for Metacity (from here[3], )

Of course it's just a proof-of-concept, an initial proposal, comments
and suggestions are welcome.

Those gtp files are useless to me. Any chance to just put pngs somewhere ?

"gtp" files are supposed to be "Gnome Theme Packages". Opening them in
nautilus should start gnome-appearance-preferences and begin installing
it.

If that fails, then just gunzip and untar.

Thomas

Ah, I didn't realize that.

By what mechanism do you expect them to be opened by
gnome-appearance-preferences ? I see the mime type definition in
/usr/share/mime, but I don't see a corresponding mimetype entry in the
gnome-appearance-properties.desktop file...

Indeed. Now, if we could get firefox to blow less in this area... it tells me:

You have chosen to open Leaf.gtp [...] which is a: BIN file [...]
