Individual Activity ReportOver the past few troop activities, I've tried to figure out a better way to manage things, but I'm stumped.
Here is the scenario: Each month we have an event for which: Week 1 - Permission slips are distributed. Week 2-3 - Permission slips collected by Patrol Leaders Week 4 - Event The problem: As permission slips are returned, the activity indicators are updated in TM. The Individual Activity report is used to communicate attendance status to each of the Patrol Leaders. The two problems with the report's usage in this manner is: 1. There is no option to group the boys by Patrol [The biggest problem.] 2. There is no option to include the boys who have indicated that they can not attend. These are marked with an asterisk ('*') in the activity status field. Has anyone encountered the same issue? Any solutions? YIS, David Stickney Troop 183 Scoutmaster |

RE: Individual Activity ReportHI
First Under /Unit/ is a /Group Members/. Does that help with grouping by patrols. Second I would guess that as an attendance marker (Activity Management Dialogue) you have an asterisk for a default marker. If the case, you may change that. In the manual somewhere I believe it states a) you can change the marker to a number or letter. Then it does say something about how it counts those tallies. It may or may not be what you need. RE: Individual Activity ReportGreg,
Thanks for the feedback. This report does not have any selection for grouping by patrol or group. Therefore, I don't think that the creation of a group will necessarily help. For the attendance marker, I use the following: 'X' - credits the default amount for the event. [0-9] - credit a specific number of days or hours for the event '*' - approved absence from the event This is working ok. However, it would help the patrol leader to know who is definitely going and not going. Currently, the report has no ability to show people that are not going. By knowing there two things, the Patrol Leaders would know which scouts to followup with to determine their attendance status.
