Installation error 2349 on WinXPHi. I'm attempting to install Tortoise SVN version 1.6.6 on Windows
XP, and I'm running into the following error: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2349" This happens midway through the installation - everything is fine then this occurs, and then the installation fails. I've searched online for a bit and cannot figure out what could be causing this. It doesn't seem like any other people have posted about this issue. Please let me know if there are additional details I could provide to help solve this problem. Thanks! Re: Installation error 2349 on WinXPWell, you could try re-downloading the installer, and see if that helps.

You may need to strip the log down some before posting, I don't know; in any case, probably ZIP it first, to save space. Heath Stewart's blog is frequently useful as well (http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/). ------------------------------------------------------ http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=4061&dsMessageId=2414021 To unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: [users-unsubscribe@...]. |

Re: Installation error 2349 on WinXPYeah I tried redownloading a few times. Doesn't seem to be the
problem. Re: Installation error 2349 on WinXPI tried 3 other mirrors for 1.6.6, and I also tried 1.6.5 and 1.6.4
but they had the same issue. Seems unlikely that the issue is with the actual installer. I randomly tried version 1.3.5 and that seemed to get all the way thru. I'm curious to find out what might be causing this issue=/ Thanks for the help! I'm curious to find out what might be causing this issue=/ * Check the signature of the msi file. If you don't see a signature tab in the properties dialog (from explorer), then the file is corrupt. * Error 2349 is an internal error and means that a file or table inside the msi database couldn't be accessed. That could also mean that you have a bad sector on your harddrive. * A virus scanner could also interfere with the installation and block the msi for too long (while scanning it or whatever it thinks it has to do) Stefan -- ___ oo // \\ "De Chelonian Mobile" (_,\/ \_/ \ TortoiseSVN \ \_/_\_/> The coolest Interface to (Sub)Version Control /_/ \_\ http://tortoisesvn.net ------------------------------------------------------ http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=4061&dsMessageId=2414324 To unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: [users-unsubscribe@...]. |
