Instance syncA few years back one of the road map for opencrx was to have multi instance sync, and off line support I have recently notice this was no longer in the roadmap, has this feature been implemented or was this being drop?
I maybe mistaken but I seems to also remember someone talk about a sync ML service for opencrx. Re: Instance syncHi Hong Yee:
Offline support has always been available (and still is). Synching of multiple DB-instances is best done with DB-specific tools. See http://www.opencrx.org/faq.htm#syncdb for more information. Various tests showed that virtually every Sync ML client has its own interpretation of this "standard" so that developing a Sync ML servlet that works with a wide range of clients would be very difficult (and expensive) - in other words: while it is possible to develop a Sync ML servlet that works with a particular client, the probability that this same servlet will work with any other Sync ML client is close to 0. Hence we decided to rely on standards with less room for interpretation: - ICS/iCalendar http://www.opencrx.org/faq.htm#ICSClients - vCard http://www.opencrx.org/opencrx/2.2/Outlook_ICS_VCF_adapter.htm http://www.opencrx.org/opencrx/2.4/new.htm#Thunderbird - etc. More information about openCRX groupware features is available in the Admin Guide: http://www.opencrx.org/opencrx/2.3/admin/openCRX_admin.html If you are interested in developing your own Sync ML functionality please contact me again.
