Hi,

great! we really can need help.

as you might know quanta4 is based on kdevplatform, as kdevelop4 is.
For that reason
many parts of quanta are more a rewrite than a port.
Things you can start on are:
* html language support (code completion, validation, documentation)
* css language support (i'm currently working on that)
* javascript language support (that's a very complex topic)
* optimize interface for web development
   - don't show build related stuff for web projects
* check what we will do with user toolbars, can they get merged with snippets?
* improve php langauge support (it's quite good already but still can
get improved)
* try using quanta4 instead of kdevelop4 (no one is doing that atm)
* any other annoying behaviour/bug you notice when using the app

So just pick any of those topics and feel free to ask for more information...

You can contact developers at kdevelop-devel@... or in the irc
channel #kdevelop for most questions, not every kdevelop dev reads the
quanta lists.

Niko

Niko,

How do we use quanta4?

Its not listed on the website, or in any of the linux distros that i know of.

Do we need to use an svn repository?

Thanks,

Matthew Millar

I don't think there is a usable version yet. I run Quanta 3 on a
separate Slackware 12.2 partition.
