Invisible popup Gtk.Window

I'm using Cairo to draw onto a popup Gtk.Window to create a  "speech bubble" popup notification. However, the pop-up window I've created has a gray background that I can't get rid of: Is there anyway to set the pop-up window background so that it is invisible/transparent?

TIA...

Maybe this post will help:

IIRC, here is also a project providing "speech bubble" functionality for
Gtk#, but unfortunately I cannot recall its name.

rgladwell ,

I wonder if the Holley library could help you? It has helped me with
things like this.
