I read in "Getting this book", http://docbook.org/tdg5/en/html/ch00.html#pref-getbook ,
that "You can also get this book ... as a DocBook document ... from ... http://docbook.org/."

But, I looked all over and couldn't find a DocBook version of the latest V5.0 book.

That page is not correct.  The XML sources for TDG are in the DocBook repository on SourceForge:

under defguide and defguide5.

[Resending to the list -- sorry Bob!]

I see that defguide5 has changed considerably over the version that's available from DocBook.org, which is "Version 0.0.25 for DocBook V5.0", revision 7413 -- current revision is 8531.
Is there any way to view the head revision (or at least, a newer version) online, or do I have to build it myself?
