Issues with LDAPS

Hello,

I am trying to connect Artifactory to my company's LDAP server. The problem is that our LDAP utilizes the SSL protocal, thus in reality our link is ldaps://<server> instead of ldap://<server>, which immediately produces the error when trying to test it:

Failed connecting to the server (probably wrong url or port).

I also tried several variations on the link, as well as modifying the base information, which I know is correct; However, the best I can produce is either that error above Or this error:

Error connecting to the LDAP server: <server>:636; socket closed; nested exception is javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException: <server>:636; socket closed

I have checked both the artifactory server logs, as well as, our ldap server logs and I have no leads as to what might be occuring.

Therefore,

1.) Does Artifactory support Ldaps?

2.)If it does, any possible reasons why I might be seeing these problems?

Thanks in advance for your help!

-David

Artifactory should work with LDAPS as well. Looking at the server side exception in the artifactory log should give more details about the reason for the error you are getting.
