JGAP vs Apache Commons MathHi,
How does JGAP compares to Genetic Algorithms in Commons-Math from Apache (http://commons.apache.org/math/userguide/genetics.html) ? I think it could be really interesting, from the community point of view, to achieve some kind of integration between both projects. At least try to define some common interfaces or extension points to exploit the features in JGAP from Apache Commons. It is just a vague idea. Re: JGAP vs Apache Commons MathThanks Damjan.
I have evaluated JGAP and that was also my first impression (JGAP being much more powerful than Commons-Math GA). That's why I said to exploit the features in JGAP from Apache Commons and not in the other sense. Maybe under the Apache umbrella, JGAP could get more attention and more people could be involved in the project development and contribute to make it even better. Anyway it was just one idea, I don't even know if both licenses are compatible and, of course, Klaus should have the last word on it. Regards, Guido Garcia.
