Jamboree troop. A way to set up multiple troops?I'm the Scoutmaster for two troops. One a regular troop and one a Jamboree Troop. I've got my regular troop set up in troopmaster.
Is there a way to set up another troop with the license I have? Or do I need to buy another license (and install _another_ version on my system)? Basically, I need to have Two SEPARATE troops. How do I do that? YIS, Jamboree Troop 1702 Scoutmaster |

Re: Jamboree troop. A way to set up multiple troops? You need a second license. These are two distinct entities.
You can have two installations of Troopmaster on one pc to accommodate you. Re: Jamboree troop. A way to set up multiple troops?Don,
That's because TM is already set up to do that. It is already set up so that you can run a Troop/Team/Crew all three with the same Chartered Organization on the same licensed copy. However, I fail to see why anyone would need to record or track a non-chartered Group or Troop for Jamboree. It's still primarily their own Unit's responsability to track any and all advancement that they complete while participating with a Jamboree Troops activities. Re: Jamboree troop. A way to set up multiple troops? That still doesn't explain the practicality of wanting, rather than the jealous need to track anything other than contact information then.
There's no practical reason to have a separate licensed copy for a Unit that's only going to exist for a few months...it's not a chartered unit...and still the primary unit's responsability to track those boys advancement records. If just for the sake of tracking contact information, cheaper, and just as easy to use Excel. Not cost effective when all those other reports that TM prints out for a normal Unit, are irrelevant to a Jamboree Troop.
